The inaugural Nordic Conference on Digital Health and Wireless Solutions (NCDHWS2024), held in May 2024 in Oulu, Finland, marked a significant milestone in advancing multidisciplinary collaboration in health technology. Organized by the DigiHealth and 6GESS research programs at the University of Oulu, the conference brought together over 260 international experts from diverse fields including medicine, health sciences, health economics, sensor and information technology, and wireless communications. A key highlight of the event was its strong international character: both the Advisory Committee and the Scientific Review Committee included experts from over 20 countries, reflecting the global relevance and reach of the conference themes.

NCDHWS2024 featured a dynamic program with 24 international keynote speakers and 90 scientific presentations, all of which have been published in an open access scientific collection by Springer. The conference also hosted several engaging exhibitions, showcasing innovations from leading international companies in digital health and wireless technologies.

The event not only underscored the University of Oulu’s leadership in digital health and wireless solutions but also reinforced Oulu’s reputation as a hub of technological innovation and a pioneer in multidisciplinary research. NCDHWS2024 provided a vibrant platform for researchers, professionals, and industry leaders to exchange ideas, foster collaborations, and shape the future of digital health.
